Aangen Community Centre. In Memory of Simerjeet Kaur SinghIn Memory of Simerjeet Kaur Singh
January 27 1946 - August 10 2010
Simer loved being involved with community; her passion was to help others in need and always extended kindness and a smile. When she participated in workshops at Aangen she filled the room with her laughter and a sense of hope and inspiration for all. It is in this spirit that we will use funds donated on behalf of Simer to help those who come to us - immigrant women, children and families in need.
Please feel free to donate online or mail a cheque to Aangen, 868 Dovercourt Road, Toronto, ON M6H2X5 | aangen.com | 416.519.9800.
Thank you for your generosity:
Shirin Bhatti, Andrea H Binnie, Dr. Tracy Chen, Elizabeth Doherty, Rupinder Gill, Jasdeep Kaur, Charmaine Johnson-Mentlak, Patricia McCord, Dora Miceli, Ernestine Norton, The Raqueno family, Heidi Rausch, and the donation from the Social Policy and Programs Branch at Indian and Northern Affairs.

Thursday October 14 - 6:30-9:30pm. Sacred Space with Dora Miceli. $35
Sacred Space is a workshop in non-ordinary reality. This workshop will teach you to connect to your higher self, to heal, journey for totem animals and spirit guides. We will focus on being a conduit for sacred energy and forgiveness. *Sacred Space is a pre-requisite for Reiki & Massage courses.
Saturday October 16 - 11:00am-3:00pm. Aura Shielding with Deirdre Norman. $50
In an era of energetic awareness we, somehow, are oblivious to the importance of protecting, maintaining and nurturing our own energetic field. Aura Shielding focuses on understanding personal and professional boundaries at all levels; emotional, physical, energetic, and then creating a shield that allows the individual to experience connection without interference and the, sometimes, hazardous exchange of energies. The art of shielding is as intrinsic to our well being as breathing. It is useful to have a step-by-step process to guide us in developing a practical, personal routine that ensures our psychic/energetic health. *Please bring a vegetarian dish for a shared potluck lunch.* Pre-registration is required.
Wednesday October 27 - 7:00-9:00pm. Sexual Symbology with Cheri Michael. Open to everyone. $40 includes materials
Symbols have considerable impact on our lives and the majority are given to us by others. What could be more empowering than creating your own? Create a symbol to represent the core of your sexuality using collage and various arts exercises. Leave with a deeper understanding of your sexuality and a visual reminder to stay connected to it in your day to day life. No experience necessary.
Thursday October 28 - 7:00-9:00pm. The Goddess Wheel with Deirdre Norman. $25
Who is the Goddess and what has She to say? The answer lies in the stories. The Goddess Wheel brings the goddesses of myth alive. This evening will we process the dynamic message that these goddesses hold for us. We will find this message in stories, in the cells of our being and in our unconscious. Come and meet your goddess and see Her reflected in you. *Pre-registration is required.
