aangen community centre - save the bees petitionI'd like to share a very important cause to Aangen: our beekeepers, Sharon and George Overton have informed me of the incredibly awful effects of neonicotinoid pesticides being used widely in Ontario and that are killing a vast majority of bees. If you can please sign this petition and support the effort to ban these pesticides, that would be greatly appreciated.

Saturday November 2. 10:00am-4:00pm. Reflexology with Dora MiceliSaturday November 2. 10:00am-4:00pm. Reflexology with Dora Miceli. $50
Reflexology is a focused pressure technique directed at the feet or hands. It is based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body which corresponds to and are relative to all parts, glands and organs of the entire body. When the reflexes are stimulated, the body's natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones. A reflexology session breaks up deposits (felt as a sandy or gritty area under the skin) which may interfere with this natural flow of the body's energy. The main benefits of reflexology are: relaxation with the removal of stress, enhanced circulation, and assists the body to normalize metabolism naturally. *Please bring a vegetarian dish for everyone to share for a potluck lunch. **This workshop will take place at Dora's Studio at 452 Gladstone Ave - behind the house.

The first step in using your hands for healing is to become acquainted with the exquisitely discerning sensitivity of your touch. Your touch has a depth of experience that can tell you far more than what you ask of it in normal day to day life.
In the first 2 evenings of this series of 4 workshops with applied kinesiologist Dev Khalsa you will learn how to use very simple methods of muscle testing to enhance your touch and experience the effect of foods, remedies, sounds, colours, emotion, meridians and much more. Once this form of muscle testing is practiced and mastered this heightened awareness can be integrated so that by just placing your hand on the skin you will know how and where to use your touch for the purpose of healing. In the 3rd and 4th evenings of the Sacred Touch Workshops Dev will teach how to make the transition from muscle testing to Sacred Touch, the art of using your hands to know and to heal.
