Dear Aangen Community,
Happy Spring! First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who was able to attend our Spring Fundraiser and 15th Anniversary Celebration on March 28th. It was such a wonderful event with so much love and support in the room for the work we're able to do at Aangen.

A big thank you to Andrew Cash MP, Cristina Martins MPP and Councillor Ana Bailăo for their ongoing support for our programs and the community we serve.
I'd like to especially thank Faema, Birkshire Auto and Go Ask Alice for their generous contributions to our work at Aangen, It's because of them and our other supporters that our programs have grown almost 4-fold this year.

Program Updates
aangen community centre - Mother Nature PartnershipMother Nature Partnership
We at Mother Nature Partnership want to extend our heartfelt thank you to Aangen for everything that you did to contribute to our Girls' Program in Cameroon this year.

We are pleased to share with you a Mother Nature Partnership Girls' Program 2015 Report that tells you more about the program, the girls that we work with and the impact you helped create. The way that you rallied (in short order!) to identify and collect all of the underwear for the girls, and to contribute financially towards them, was much appreciated.

The girls were thrilled with the underwear that go hand-in-hand with the menstrual health supplies we provide, and for girls who often don't have underwear at all or don't have enough, this makes a huge difference in their lives.

Thank you for helping us to make a powerful impact in the lives of girls in Cameroon.

~ Irene Whittaker-Cumming, Director. Mother Nature Partnership
Send A Girl to School - Haiti
Aangen donated approximately 40 lbs of new women's underwear and Yoga Without Borders donated 200 Moon pads to aid women in girls in Haiti through 'Hime for Help'.
Handing the moon pads and underwear out at the mountain village (amongst other places in Haiti) was very exciting, all the ladies of the community were very happy to receive them and seemed to easily understand what they were for. Even the men were excited to help hand them out to the large group of women and girls present making sure everyone who needed them received one bundle.

Building a Community Kitchen in Nigeria
The project stared last Thursday and our children and staff distributed food stuff comprising of rice, tomatoes salt onion and spices to 32 families in 7 villages. When the dining hall is completed we will expand the food program to include cooked food for the hungry and our malnourished school kids who come to school without lunch.
